One warm August day, my partner and I stumbled across what would become a long-term project in our garage — the restoration of a 1976 Mercedes 206D. Originally imported as a commercial delivery van, it was converted to a camper van by the previous owner sometime in the 1980s. Before we picked it up, it had been sitting outside, unused, for around 10 years.
